The program consists of a condensed living “core” of bedrooms and bathrooms between the “garage” at the south end (workspace, painting, fabrication, etc) and a full-height living/dining/kitchen space that opens onto a patio at the edge of the woods to the north. These primary program components are defined by a sequence of steel “portal” frames, each housing a coiling door that when open, allows one to see through the entire structure.
