The client acquired the yurt kit with the intention of making the 450SF structure a permanent home. She enlisted the SHED team to integrate a few modern amenities and help solve the spatial challenge presented by the circular shape.
Placing the kitchen in the middle as a center point helped to better define the living spaces within the open dome yurt. The lofted sleeping quarters accommodate a queen-size bed, providing a private refuge that floats above the living spaces below.
